Our Story

It all began on the snow-covered mountains of Colorado. With snowboards carving across white slopes and laughter carried on the wind, Eris and Mark’s paths first crossed—not by chance, but as if the mountains themselves had called them together. What began as adventure quietly grew into love.
Back in New York, that spark became something deeper. They became each other’s first call and favorite company—the steady hand on every mountain slope, the cheer in every new challenge, and the laughter that turns an ordinary evening into a memory. Together they’ve chased sunsets and welcomed sunrises, wandered new trails and hidden city streets, dived into oceans and stood in awe of mountain peaks. They’ve shared countless meals, from street food abroad to tucked-away restaurants in the city, discovering flavors as rich and surprising as the journeys themselves. Love, they’ve found, is not only in the grand adventures but also in the quiet moments of coffee in the morning, late-night talks, or dreaming about tomorrow.
They are endlessly curious, drawn to culture, art, and the beauty of the world in all its forms. Though their perspectives are shaped by different worlds—one through art history, the other through mathematics—they find harmony in their contrasts, weaving together a bond that is both unique and unshakable.
Now, they return to Aspen, where it all began, to celebrate their love among the mountains that first brought them together. Surrounded by family and friends, they look forward to a weekend filled with joy, laughter, and unforgettable memories—the perfect beginning to their greatest adventure yet.

Altitude in
COLORADO
Aspen is nestled in the heart of the Rocky Mountains at an elevation of about 8,000 feet above sea level. For reference, Denver sits at 5,280 feet (one mile high), so expect the air in Aspen to feel thinner — be sure to stay hydrated and take it easy as you adjust to the altitude!
Things to Remember When Visiting High Altitude:
1. Drink water: This is the number one way to help your body adjust easily to our higher altitude. The low humidity in Colorado keeps the air dry, like the desert, so you need about twice as much water here as you would drink at home.
2. Monitor your alcohol intake: In Colorado's rarified air, golf balls go ten percent farther… and so do cocktails. Alcoholic drinks pack more of a wallop than at sea level. It is recommended that you go easy on the alcohol in the mountains and in Denver, as its effects will feel stronger here.
3. Pack for sun: The sky really is bluer in Colorado. But there's 25 percent less protection from the sun, so sunscreen is a must. Colorado receives over 300 days of sunshine each year (more than San Diego or Miami - they say).
4. Dress in layers: Check the weather two days before your trip and use this information to pack appropriately. Because you'll be closer to the sun, it can feel warmer than the actual temperature during the daytime, but then become very chilly after sundown.
5. Enjoy yourself: Don't let anything you hear about the mile-high altitude scare you. The air is just thinner and dryer. In fact, many people with respiratory problems move to Denver for the benefit of the dry air. Just follow these simple tips and you will very likely not even notice the difference.
